Sheila’s family have arranged that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Broadstairs Town Team in Kent,  made up of local volunteer gardeners.

Sheila took great joy in the gardens near her home and watching them flourish in recent years.

They will plant an area near Grand Mansions (Sheila’s home for almost half a century) and the Seaside Promenade for all to enjoy over the Spring and Summer – there will be a plaque in her name. 

Sheila loved Broadstairs, having first visited as a child, and was heavily involved in the local community over the course of her life.

She served as a past Vice-Chairman of the Broadstairs Society and was an active member of the Kent Family History Society. She would love to know that any donations in her memory would go to helping the Town Team continue with their developments of the local gardens for all to enjoy.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the Spring where friends and family can admire the flowers in bloom in Sheila’s name. Please follow the QR code or this link to a special Charity page in her memory:
